This flashback pic was one I pulled out of my album all the way from 2001! Wow, it's hard to believe this was 10 years ago! The original on top I snapped with my trusty 35mm of my oldest son (2 1/2 at the time) and my sister jumping on the trampoline in our parents backyard. I centered the shot and overexposed it a tad and then I ran a "smart blur" effect over the top with a warm tone. I love how the picture was softened and kept warmth it conveyed. He was so little then! ;0)

Of all the silly things to find in Vegas (not the man, he's always silly). Need a hint? Look at the name of the um, business behind my man's head! I ran a heavy posterize effect over this shot with my trusty photosuite program and I love the Andy Warhol-esque vibe it gave the pic! ;0)

The kids are gone for the weekend and this means I've had the opportunity to hang out with my man. This isn't something that we have the opportunity to do that often anymore...life is busy and the kids keep us busier. He's my best friend and I love this fortune (not that I needed to be told this) and I love him more! ;0)

I think this was the only actual present I got yesterday (don't get me wrong, I got tons of gift cards too), but it's so pretty, I just had to share! One of my dearest friends I grew up with made it and sent it to me and I love the red and white in contrast with the black background of my cabinet. ;0)

We are back to the old pictures from my 35mm camera and this is so stinkin' cute, I just had to share! It's so hard to believe that my daughter was ever so little. I love that she just posed when I said I was taking her picture!

My favorite holiday is just days a way...and I'll bet you can't tell what it is from the picture. Okay, so it's pretty obvious! I was born on Valentine's Day 30 something years ago and this has fostered a life-long love of hearts! Yes, these are my knee socks (which I love!) why do you ask? ;0)

What a great shot! One of the advantages of having a back yard with a westward view is I get to capture rocking shots such as this! No magic today folks, this is exactly how I took it. I love the jet trails and the tiny crescent moon at the top.

Something about basketball courts reminds me of growing up in my little hometown. Maybe it's the hours my best friend and I spent perfecting our rollerskating skills on the smooth surface. Maybe it's watching the neighborhood boys climb to the tops of the baskets because they could. Whatever the reason, I think of this as I perfect my free throws still! I love the heavy contrast on this shot.

Just about 2 1/2 years back this was and it's amazing at how much my babies have grown! I took this shot and fixed the exposure a tad and faded the edges just a touch...I love my kids, they are my favorite photo subjects! ;0)

I think I am extra glad I took a little time and snapped many good pictures this weekend because the weather outside is icy and not good for a little picture artistry! If you keep your eyes open you can capture beauty in the least obvious of places. This is actually under a bridge, by a trail, in one of our local parks... huh, who knew? I love the reflection of the sky in the rippling brook.
